Notes can be added to every project. You can add anything in the notes section. For example, the size you are knitting, the yarn you are using, and who you are gifting the project to.

1. Tap Edit. Show Me
2. Tap the Project Info button. Show Me
3. Tap in the Notes area and start typing. Show Me

The project timer runs automatically while you are in Knit mode. Each project has its own timer so you can track the time spent knitting each project.

Customize Project Timer (Setup+Essentials)

You can manually add or remove time:

1. Tap Edit. Show Me
2. Tap the Project Info button. Show Me
3. Tap the Timer button at the bottom left. Show Me
4. Adjust the hours and minutes tracked for your project.

Manually Add Video Links

1. Tap Edit. Show Me
2. Tap the Project Info button. Show Me
3. Tap the Video button to add links to YouTube videos.
   1. You can name your video, this name will appear in Knit Mode when the video is selected.
   2. The link is a standard share (sometimes called embed) link.

Watch Videos

1. If the bottom panel is not showing, tap the toggle at the top right.  Show Me
2. You can adjust the size of the bottom panel with the blue handle. 
3. Tap the Project Info button. 
   1. Project Notes show by default.
   2. Tap Project Info again to show the Timer, and one more time to access your videos.
   3. If you have more than one video, continue to tap Project Info to advance to the next video.
4. You can play and pause the video, and if supported by your device bring it Full Screen, or use PIP. 

knitCompanion includes a variety of knitting calculators. Easy to read results are provided that can be placed directly in your Project Info notes and copied to your clipboard. Calculators are included in your subscription.

1. Tap Knit. Show Me
2. Tap the Project Info button in bottom left panel. Continue to tap to show the Timer & Ruler.
3. Tap the Calculator button. Show Me
4. Select the calculator you want to use and complete the requested information.
5. Tap the Calculate button.
   The easy-to-read instructions are shown in the Results area.
6. Tap the Copy to Project Info button to place these instructions directly into your Project Info notes. The results are also copied to your clipboard.
7. Tap the Close button upper left to leave the calculator.
